posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security
Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP),
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Rifleman (General Duty) in
Assam Rifles (AR), and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Essential Qualification:
- Matriculation or 10th Class Examination: The candidate must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University as on or before the cut-off date (01-01-2025).
Recognition of Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates:
- Open and Distance Learning Mode of Education: Degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode by Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature,
Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically
recognized for employment purposes.
Acceptance Criteria:
- Recognition for Relevant Period: Unless degrees are recognized for the relevant period when candidates acquired the qualification, they will not be accepted for Educational Qualification.
- Production of Approval by Distance Education Bureau: Candidates possessing such degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning modes must produce approval given to the
University by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission for the relevant period at the time of Document Verification.
Verification Criteria:
- Original Certificates: All candidates called for Document Verification must produce relevant certificates (Marksheets, Provisional Certificates, etc.) in original as proof of having acquired the
minimum educational qualification on or before the cut-off date (01-01-2025). - Documentary Evidence: Candidates who can prove by documentary evidence that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and have been declared passed will
also be considered to meet the Educational Qualification.
Incentive for NCC Certificate Holders:
- NCC Certificate Categories: Incentives/bonus marks will be granted at the following scales:
- NCC ‘C’ Certificate: 5% of the maximum marks of the Examination
- NCC ‘B’ Certificate: 3% of the maximum marks of the Examination
- NCC ‘A’ Certificate: 2% of the maximum marks of the Examination
Eligibility Criteria for NCC Certificate Holders:
- Online Application Form: The benefit of incentive/bonus marks will only be provided to a candidate who has opted for incentive/bonus marks for an ‘NCC certificate’ in the Online Application Form.
- Production of Original Certificate: The benefit to the NCC Certificate Holder will be confirmed only on production of the original certificate supporting their claims at the time of Document
Verification.
Deadline for NCC Certificate:
- Cut-off Date: The NCC Certificate must have been issued on or before 01-01-2025 for this benefit to be applicable.
- Nationality/Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Age Limit:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age (for Unreserved/EWS): 23 years as on 01-01-2025
- Relaxations in upper age limit:
- SC/ST: 5 years beyond the maximum age of 23, i.e., up to 28 years
- OBC: 3 years beyond the maximum age of 23, i.e., up to 26 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years beyond the maximum age of 23, i.e., up to 26 years (after deduction of military service rendered)
- Children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (Unreserved/EWS): 5 years beyond the maximum age of 23, i.e., up to 28 years
- Children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (OBC): 8 years beyond the maximum age of 23, i.e., up to 31 years
- Children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (SC/ST): 10 years beyond the maximum age of 23, i.e., up to 33 years
